There is power in writing things down. The bible in Habakkuk very clearly states, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run“.
Talking about the vision is good, painting a visual picture of the things you intend to achieve is awesome. What’s even better is penning it down – hardcopy or softcopy. Just write it somewhere you can always look at it.
This is why.
Talking about your plans lights up the flames of motivation, it makes you feel good and in control. But to keep the embers alight, you actually have to roll up your sleeves and get down to the work. Writing down your plans keeps you accountable. If you’ve written them down, there’s a higher chance you will actually follow through because anytime you pick up your planner/journal/notes and look at what you’ve written, you can tell if you’ve slacked, veered off-course, doing well or… ‘Oh my gosh! I completely forgot I said I would do this.’
If writing it down feels like a chore, then take a look at these beautiful planners. I tell you, you would want to pen something every time.

Book’d, Book’d & Busy, and Book’d & Blessed, are three specialized planners that cater to the unique needs of black women in the areas of entrepreneurship, faith, & culture.
In creating art projects and unique bulletin boards for learning purposes, this female founder discovered that there are not enough materials representing Africans which led to the birth of Black Coils Paperie.
So, in the words of Mary Oliver, “Tell me what you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”- Be intentional about your desires!
