5 Uber Reasons Why You Should Make The Switch To A Vegan Diet.

Food! All I have done since I started research for this article is drool over 3D images of food on my laptop screen.

It’s not fair! Why does internet food have to look so gewd?

A few days ago, I was catching up with a friend of mine, and somewhere in the middle of our conversation, he mentioned that he was considering switching to a vegan diet. Right now, he is a pescatarian.


And just so you don’t get confused:

I have explained, so let’s zap back to the discussion.

According to what he said, there are so many health benefits to reap from a vegan diet: A longer lifespan for one, and 2 because it comes Doc recommended.

This got me thinking, do we have alexiloreans who have made the switch to vegan diets or at least giving it some serious thoughts?

Studies have shown that a vegan diet keeps blood sugar levels in check. According to diabetes.org.uk “Vegan diets tend to be lower in saturated fat, higher in fibre, fruit and vegetables and other protective substances like phytochemicals and antioxidants – as a result, they fit well with the current dietary guidelines for people with diabetes.”

Get rid of that acne – or at least manage it

Of the reasons why you should go vegan is that nothing eats the deal of clear skin; the vitamins and minerals found in this diet will help you achieve this.

RED VELVET CAKE- A- ROONIE! 🍰 – – it’s finally complete 😫💃🏽 after two sessions in the kitchen and lots and lots of love we’ve finally got it right!!! as a little girl I would made the box cakes and would try to make them look as fancy as possible – so making this from scratch and vegan edition brought back all the memories of my childhood! so here’s the deal guys delicious red velvet cake sandwiched between vegan cream cheese frosting and topped with vanilla icing from @bettycrocker that I just found out is vegan!!!! I literally almost skipped a beat – bc everyone knows making a cake like this takes time so finding a simple cheap vegan alternative for the outer icing was AMAZING!!! ok guys enough of me grabbing, love you all and enjoy! recipe below – – PLEASE NOTE: double the serving size if you would like 4 cake loafs this serving size creates two! – – INGREDIENTS 1 3/4 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup vegan milk 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/3 cup vegan butter melted (for more dense) or sub for vegetable oil (for a more fluffy cake) 1 tsp white vinegar 4 tsp choc powder 1 tbsp vanilla red food coloring Inside Frosting: 1/2 cup vegan cream cheese 3 cups powder sugar 2 tsp vanilla 2 tsp vegan butter – – DIRECTIONS 1. shift flour and mix in sugar, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder and salt 2. add in vegan milk, butter or oil, vanilla and vinegar 3. mix well and divide mix into two well oiled tins 4. cook @ 350 for 25 minutes or until complete 5. meanwhile combine all icing ingredients 6. allow cakes to completely cool before icing – and voila! – – tip – use toothpicks to keep the structure of the cake if you decided to pile it high with two more layers! – – #redvelvetcake #vegancreamcheesefrosting #vegandessert

Dish: Vegan Sausage and Pepper pasta soup 🥣 • • • THE DEETS: At the risk of sounding corny, I literally only care about soup when it’s rainy out 🤦🏾‍♀️. So this dish was perrrfect for today, not only because it’s rainy but also because we had a good amount of sausage and peppers left over from grilling out last night👌🏾. This soup taste amazing and like most of what I post it’s crazy easy to make. You can play around with the ingredients, and tailor it to your personal taste/ preference. Give it a try! ( Recipe Below) • • • INGREDIENTS • •2 tbsp oil •2 tsp onion powder •2 tsp garlic powder •1 tsp of paprika •1 tsp of basil •2-3 @the_tofurky_company sausage links •1/2 red bell pepper, chopped * 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped •2 handfuls of cherry tomatoes, chopped •1/2 cup of your favorite marinara sauce •2 cups veggie broth •1 cup of short vegan ( or any) pasta of choice •1 cup of coconut milk •salt and pepper to taste • (optional) Shredded @violife_foods_usa vegan cheese to garnish. • • • DIRECTIONS 1. In a large pot on medium heat, add oil, peppers, onion powder and garlic powder and cook for about 4 minutes until peppers soften. 2. Add cherry tomatoes, marinara sauce, broth, pasta and coconut milk and stir to combine. 3. Put the lid on and bring to a low simmer, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes or until pasta is cooked. Every type of pasta takes different amounts of time, so check the package for how long you need to keep it on the stove. 4.
